Reflection
One of the most important jobs for educators is to remain current in their fields through continued education, especially in the field of technology which changes quickly and often, and to be active members of their community which is the focus of Standard V. Educators are representing their institution and themselves when they are at school or anytime they are in public. In an effort to continuously improve student learning, teachers must research and network with other teachers to share information and ideas. Blogs, course web sites, and Diigo bookmarking are all excellent tools to help them with these tasks. Many teachers have personal blogs that they use as channels to network with educators all over the world. When you combine a blog with access to your course site, you can create an efficient way to share information with others in the same field. Not only can you convey your ideas in a blog, but you can give them a first-hand look at your ideas through your course site. Diigo is another avenue that teachers can use to stay current in their fields and network. Not only can you use Diigo to bookmark subject-area sites and information, you can join groups and network with others who are researching the same subject matter. A blog can easily be attached to your Diigo site as well.

Future Learning Goal
Each year I will attend professional development courses in an effort to stay abreast of changes in my field. I am a member of MBEA, an organization of business teachers in the state of Mississippi. I will attend the annual MBEA conference as a means of networking with others in my field. I will create a blog to share information with other professionals. I will continue to advise our school’s business organization, Phi Beta Lambda.
